As many of you know, Davis County opted to experiment with vote-by-mail this year, which means that most of you should’ve received your ballots in the mail roughly three weeks ago. If you haven’t voted yet, here are a few things to keep in mind:
Vote, and encourage your friends and neighbors to vote and to vote Republican. Every election–whether hotly contested or not–represents a civic sacrament, the chance to exercise the extraordinary privilege to have a say in choosing those who represent us, a right for which many fought and died, or, as Lincoln put it, “[gave] the last full measure of devotion.” Let us be true to their sacrifices and that proud tradition by letting our voices be heard.
All mail-in ballots must be post-marked by Monday, November 3. In other words, if you haven’t marked them and mailed them in please do so at your earliest convenience but in all events by next Monday.
If you haven’t received a mail in ballot or would rather vote in person the traditional way, you may do so on Election Day–Tuesday, November 4 at any of the locations listed here: http://www1.daviscountyutah.gov:8080/clerk-auditor/elections2/how-where-to-vote/polling-locations. In our district, the most convenient locations are the Centerville or Bountiful libraries or the Farmington City Community Center.
